The Original Zaffiro's
With a pinch of longevity and a dash of loyalty as its secret ingredients for good home-made food, Zaffiro's Pizzeria is widely recognized as a landmark on the trendy East Side.

The name Zaffiro has been synonymous with Milwaukee for 50 years, first in the old Third Ward and now on Farwell Avenue, just north of Brady Street.

Zaffiro's has survived a number of transitional periods to hit the lower east side.

Together, the good food and the atmosphere, make this quaint, no-nonsense pub, with its red-checkered table cloths, fast and courteous service and reasonable prices, something special.

The menu is simple and straightforward. Although Zaffiro's serves traditional Italian pastas, including lasagna, mostaccioli and tortellini, it's the pizza that really make the restaurant stand out.

Zaffiro's has been known as Milwaukee's Original thin crust pizza.

The finest handcrafted pizza done the old fashioned way with a variety of toppings and a sauce that grandma made is the recipe for success.

The EBF describes the "Everything But Fish."

Toss in the old kitchen sink with this one. Cheese, sausage, peperoni, mushroons, onions, peppers and tomatoes  are piled high and although less is often more when it comes to making pizza, this one remains crisp and is the most popular on the menu.

While the pizza is in the oven, pass the time working your way through Zaffiro's monster salad, which is the 'EBF" in a bowl full of lettuce smothered with the house vinaigrette. It is large enough to share with three of your best friends. Other menu choices include a few pastas with red sauce, Itailian beef, and a very good hamburger. Quite simply, an old time pizzeria with traditional Italian American pizza!!
